The Cooper River Bridge Run will have a wave start for the first time this year. For those of you who are new to this, I thought I'd share this explanation:
Each time zone will be divided into three different corrals. Listed on your race number as "Corral A" "Corral B" etc. You will line up within the corral that matches the letter on your race bib.
Each corral will be announced and will be walked up to the Starting Line by race officials and each corral will have an official start with a clear race course ahead.
We are asking all participants to cooperate with the race officials and line up according to their respective time zone and corral letter.
Maps and visual media will be provided to help find your correct corral.
Our intention with the Wave Start is to insure our runners/walkers have a wide open course to begin the race with less roadblocks of people throughout the course all the way to the Finish Line.
