January 19: Charleston Marathon
Charleston Marathon, Half-Marathon, Shrimp and Grits 5k, 40 and 60 mile bike ride and Youth Marathon. Join us to run in America's most beautiful city! Benefits the Youth Endowment for the Arts (YEA). YEA works to support equitable, quality fine arts programming for Charleston Area Children. Fine arts are proven factor to academic success for at-risk youth.
January 26: 30th Annual Charlie Post Classic 15K & 5K
On January 26, 2013, the Charleston Running Club will mark the 30th running of the Charlie Post Classic 15K & 5K. The Charlie Post Classic is CRC's signature event and honors the memory of Dr. Charlie Post. During the 2012 race, $7,500 was raised and contributed to the Charlie Post Endowment Scholarship fund at the College of Charleston. We expect the 2013 races to be bigger and better and registrations will be capped at 1,000 runners.
April 6: Cooper River Bridge Run
The Cooper River Bridge Run is one of the premier running events in the country attracting runners from all over the world to compete in the 6.2 mile race. It is the highlight of the South Carolina running calendar and it shouldn't be missed. To learn more, please visit http://www.bridgerun.com/
April 18: iFive:K
The Charleston Digital Corridor Foundation presents the Annual iFive:K. With start and finish lines at the Charleston Maritime Center, the course winds through historic, downtown Charleston and finishes with a post-race celebration at the Charleston Maritime Center overlooking the Harbor. The Innovator's 5k benefits the Charleston Digital Corridor Scholarship Fund. Registration for the iFive:K is limited to 750 participants; there will be no race day registrations. June TBD: Floppin Flounder 5K
The Floppin Flounder 5k is one of Charleston's favorite races. Hosted by the Charleston Running Club, with help from the Sullivan`s Island Fire and Rescue Dept, this race has had a loyal following for over 20 years! www.CharlestonRunningClub.com
